The SAN-Partners Dr. Maison & Partner and Omikron developed FACT-Finder for Servoy.
This Plugin can be used inside any high performance search and navigation engines and allows Servoy developers to use FACT-Finder technology inside Servoy solutions.


Problem
Continually expanding databases make it increasingly difficult for companies to find the information they need quickly. Many systems provide inadequate standard search functions, which are too slow, or deliver incomplete results. Misheard Telefone communications may cause data records to be created repeatedly, and unstructured data from external systems cause additional complications.
These problems often overload the standard search, so that the desired data is not found. This reduces the productivity of your call center and your management and service teams; incoming callers are confronted with long waiting times.


Solution
The FACT-Finder technology is based on a multi-lingual similarity algorithm and tolerates typing-errors without maintenance. It offers a high scaleable search technology combined with a fast indexation.

The similarity process produces a "human“ sensitivity for what is and is not similar:

Phonetic Similarity:
"Meyer / Mayor" or "Schulz / Schultz"
Word Order:
"Miller Furniture / Furniture by Miller"
Typographical Errors:
"City-Comupter Schubret / City-Computer Schubert"
Extensions:
"Miller Furniture / Miller's House of Furniture, Ltd."
Word Mutations:
"Miller Direct & Dialog-Marketing / Miller Direct Marketing"
